Up to $11,000 + eligible permit fees
Village reimburses 100% from the water main to the b-box and 75% from the b-box to the meter. Pre-approval is required.
50% reimbursement up to $10,000
Eligible full-line replacements can receive 50% reimbursement up to $10,000. Funding is limited and distributed first-come, first-served; three estimates are required.
75% of eligible private-side cost up to $5,000
The Village reports 100% public-side replacement by Village staff and assistance equal to 75% of the private-side cost up to $5,000.

100% Public Side + 2/3 Private Side
100% of eligible water main-to-B-box replacement cost and 2/3 of eligible B-box-to-meter cost.
Municipalities may use local water funds, state or federal grants, infrastructure financing, or dedicated lead service line replacement funds.
Some communities cover the public side, some reimburse part of the homeowner side, and others fund full replacement under specific projects.
Pre-approval, contractor estimates, property location, service-line material, timing, and available funding can all affect eligibility.
