For qualifying properties, Mount Prospect reimburses 100% of the eligible cost from the water main to the B-box and 2/3 of the eligible cost from the B-box to the water meter inside the building. The reimbursement is capped at $10,000 of actual expenses incurred.

Lombard replaces the qualifying portion from the water main to the curb stop at no cost to the resident and reimburses 75% of eligible curb-stop-to-meter costs, up to $5,000.

Glenview covers 100% of the public-side replacement cost and reimburses 50% of eligible private-side costs. A qualifying new water meter is reimbursed at 100%, and permit fees are waived.
100% Public Side on Property-Owner-Initiated Replacement
For a qualifying property-owner-initiated replacement, Arlington Heights' published replacement plan states that the Village pays for and installs the public side, while the property owner is responsible for the private side.
$4,250 Long-Side / $2,550 Short-Side Rebate
Naperville offers qualifying homeowners a $4,250 rebate for long-side replacement or $2,550 for short-side replacement when the entire lead service is replaced. The City's scheduled replacement program is also working toward replacement at no cost to participating homeowners.
Up to $2,500 + Public-Side Replacement
Eligible homeowner-initiated replacements may qualify for a $2,500 private-side incentive, along with City coordination for the qualifying public-side portion.
Private-Side Cost Capped at $3,090
Skokie's program caps participating homeowners' private-side replacement cost at $3,090, with financing available over 15 years. Certain homeowner-initiated replacements may instead qualify for a $750 cash rebate or $1,250 utility-bill credit.
Homeowner Cost Share: $5,000
For qualifying private-side lead service line replacement, the property owner pays a $5,000 cost-share fee and the City covers the remaining eligible replacement expense.
